Jail for Porsche driver who killed pal in crash

A PORSCHE driver who killed his best friend in a high-speed north-east crash was jailed yesterday for 18 months.

Douglas Calder lost control of his sports car on a rural Buchan road and ploughed into a drystane dyke, causing the vehicle to overturn several times in a field.

His passenger, William Webber, 36, who was a father-to-be, died instantly.
