‘Cold blooded killer’ banned from nursing

Murderer Malcolm Webster was branded a “cold-blooded killer” yesterday as nursing chiefs banned him from the profession.

Webster – who was given life for killing one wife and plotting to murder another – had tried to get the hearing of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) delayed. But the watchdog pressed ahead with the case yesterday and struck him off, declaring he was “violent and dishonest” and there were no circumstances in which he could continue as a nurse.

The 53-year-old was found guilty of murdering his first wife, Claire Morris, in Aberdeenshire.
