Parents unite in fight against cuts to schools

PARENTS have joined forces to present a “united front” in the fight against Moray Council’s looming education cuts.

Primary school staff lost out in the authority’s initial budget last week – and it is feared this could be followed by closures. A detailed school estate review will be conducted in the next few months in an attempt to save £4million.

As many as 10 primary schools and two secondary schools – of the area’s 45 primaries and eight secondaries – could be closed under the measures.
