Stalker who leaped out of court window jailed

A MECHANIC who continued to stalk his ex-girlfriend while on the run from police has been jailed for more than three years.

Michael Davidson bombarded his former partner with 300 phone calls and text messages after he leaped from a courthouse window to avoid being remanded for harassing the terrified woman. Even during a dramatic nine-hour police siege of a country mansion in the Highlands which ended Davidson’s two weeks on the run, he kept calling Chanine MacKenzie.

Davidson, 28, escaped through a second-floor window of Tain Sheriff Court after an interview with his solicitor and holed up at addresses at Wick, Alness and Invergordon.
