Lib Dem considered police action

A former Aberdeen councillor who has made allegations against a senior Liberal Democrat said last night that she raised the concerns with “various people” but “kept hitting brick walls”.
Alison Smith said she told Lib Dem officials in 2007 that she was “willing to take this all the way”, to the top of the party and to the police.
The former Gilcomston councillor, who spent five years working for Gordon MP Sir Malcolm Bruce, is one of at least 10 women making complaints against the former Lib Dem chief executive, Lord Rennard.
