Sawmill worker dies in machinery horror

A SAWMILL worker has died after being crushed by machinery at a north timber yard.

An air ambulance was scrambled and a specialist trauma team in a fast-response vehicle was sent to the scene but the man died before they arrived.

It is understood that 40-year-old Peter Ord was crushed by rollers on the machine he was operating at the John Gordon and Sons premises at Nairn.
