Dons changed in haste, repent at leisure

Jimmy Calderwood believes Aberdeen’s struggles since his sacking may make the Dons board think twice before ditching Craig Brown.
Top-six finishes were the norm at Pittodrie during the Calderwood era as he achieved league positions of fourth, sixth, third, fourth and fourth during his time in charge.
Since then, his successors Mark McGhee, pictured, and Brown have produced three consecutive ninth-placed finishes and, after Tuesday night’s 1-0 home defeat by Ross County, the Dons could be staring at another bottom-six place.
