Families face choice of ‘eating or heating’

A foodbank is being set up after it was revealed more than 20% of Lochaber households are facing serious income deprivation.

It hopes to help families who are facing the stark choice of “eating or heating” said organisers.

The Lochaber Foodbank Board was set up by members of the Duncansburgh Church of Scotland, the Baptist Church and the Free Church at Caol but has the backing of the whole Lochaber Presbytery.
