Payout for son of level crossing crash victims

A MAN who sued Network Rail after the deaths of his parents and uncle in a horrific level crossing accident has settled the case out of court.
The Press and Journal understands that Donald Mackay has won tens of thousands of pounds from the railway infrastructure company.
He began legal proceedings against Network Rail last year believing the company had been negligent in providing safeguards at the level crossing where his parents, Angus and Margaret Mackay, both 81 and from Inverness, and Mr Mackay sen’s brother, Donald, 66, of Latheron, Caithness, were killed.
