‘We will always love you and will never forget you’

The devastated parents of a toddler knocked down and killed in the north-east have wished their baby “goodnight” for the final time.

Two-year-old Lily MacCluskey died after being hit by a car near her home on Hillside Road at Portlethen.

The child’s grieving parents, Elaine Guthrie and Gary MacCluskey, said yesterday that floral tributes and toys left outside their home would stay with them forever as they tried to cope with the death of their “little angel”.
