Climber survives 300ft plunge

A climber has survived a 300ft plunge on a Highland mountain.

Rescuers said the man was very lucky to have survived a fall from just below the summit of Coire an t-Sneachda in the Cairngorms.

The 41-year-old had been climbing alone, but landed close to where mountaineering groups were carrying out winter skills training.
