Blizzard alert issued as lows of -10 are forecast

The north and north-east is on blizzard alert as severe weather is forecast to return today.

Plummeting temperatures and heavy snow showers overnight could bring traffic disruption this morning.

The Met Office yesterday issued a yellow “be aware” warning of snow and ice right across the Highlands and Grampian – with the worst of the snow expected in Aberdeenshire, Moray and the eastern Highlands.
