Fares cut for week as apology for bus chaos

STAGECOACH bosses have been forced to slash fares in the north-east after a flood of complaints about breakdowns, late arrivals and no-shows.

The transport giant has apologised to disgruntled commuters in Buchan who said they have put up with weeks of problems on Aberdeen-bound journeys from Peterhead and Fraserburgh.

Passengers say many of the coaches used on the routes to and from the city are outdated and in desperate need of replacement.
