Cyclist tells of blank memory over crash that tore off his leg

A YOUNG cyclist had part of his leg ripped off and suffered brain damage in a horrific crash with a car in a Highland town, a court heard yesterday.

Andrew MacLeod’s severed limb was found “some distance” away from the scene of the accident, Fort William Sheriff Court was told.

He told jurors that he could remember nothing about the incident – and that even the days leading up to it were “a blank”.
