110mph driver may be allowed to keep licence

A MAN caught driving at more than 110mph on one of the north-east’s busiest roads could be allowed to keep his licence.

David Gilmour admitted driving dangerously and at excessive speeds on the A90 Ellon-Aberdeen road last year.

But next month his lawyer will plead with a sheriff to show leniency when he faces sentence – so he can keep his licence and, in turn, his job.
