‘Guardian angel saved me from death in loch’

A YOUNG mother has described how she fought her way out of a sinking car after it plunged into a murky Highland loch.

Shey Holmes had to climb out of a window and swim to safety after sliding off the notorious A830 Fort William-Mallaig road and into Loch Eilt.

The 28-year-old said yesterday a “guardian angel” had saved her from drowning and leaving her four children without a mother.
