Planners’ goal is new stadium for Can Cans

MORAY planning chiefs have backed proposals to build a new stadium for Highland League champions Forres Mechanics.

Councillors have been urged to back proposals to move the Can Cans out of Mosset Park to make way for a multimillion-pound shopping complex.

Developer Redco Milne – a consortium that includes Aberdeen FC chairman Stewart Milne – is offering to build a modern football complex and a 500-seat stand on neighbouring land.
