Drink-drive killer told son to lie about crash

A DRINK-DRIVER who killed a teenager in a crash then tried to frame the young victim told his own son to lie to police in a desperate attempt to avoid prison.

James Watson was jailed for nearly nine years yesterday after causing the death of 19-year-old Brendon Main in a horrific crash on a quiet Aberdeenshire street.

The 38-year-old got behind the wheel after a drinking session at a Newburgh hotel to drive to his home – which was less than a mile away – with three teenagers in the car.
