Only one way to start . . . just win

Former Scotland manager Craig Brown has one simple piece of advice for Gordon Strachan as he prepares for his first competitive game tonight – just win.

Strachan will take his Hampden bow against Wales tonight in a World Cup qualifier. After getting his tenure off to a winning start with a 1-0 win against Estonia at Pittodrie last month, the Tartan Army expects a first victory of the campaign tonight.

Brown knows the result is all-important.
