Shearer praying for Scots win to shut up his pal

Caley Thistle coach Duncan Shearer wants a Scotland win tonight so he can finally put Inverness midfielder Owain Tudur Jones in his place.

The Caley Jags player has revelled in the bragging rights earned from his country’s win against the Scots in October and, with the sides meeting again tonight, Shearer believes it’s payback time.

The former Scotland attacker said: “Owain has been very vocal in the dressing-room here until it was pointed out to him he should keep quiet as Wales never qualify for anything.
