Unfinished business at County for Adams

Ross County chairman Roy MacGregor has backed Derek Adams to deliver a SPL top-six place after the club turned down Aberdeen’s approach for permission to speak to the Staggies manager.

The Dons have switched their attention to Derek McInnes after being rebuffed in their move for Adams.

MacGregor said: “Aberdeen did make an unofficial approach a week ago to see how we felt about things. I took their request to the board and the manager and it was agreed by everyone it was not something we were interested in entertaining.
