McIness man for Dons as Adams is ruled out

Derek McInnes has emerged as the frontrunner in the race to become Aberdeen manager.

Dons officials have already held talks with the former St Johnstone manager, which have gone well, and further talks are planned for this weekend.

McInnes, 41, moved to the top of the Dons’ list after Ross County rejected overtures from Pittodrie for permission to speak to Staggies manager Derek Adams.
