He may have been clutching at straws in Morocco, but Richie Ramsay still holds on to hope he can win an 11th-hour ticket to play in the Masters next month.
The Aberdonian’s chances of winning the Hassan II Trophy tournament in Agadir and moving into the world’s top 50 before Monday’s cut-off date to figure in the Augusta field are slim.
After shooting a three under par second round 69 to move to one under par for the tournament, Ramsay still found himself 11 shots behind runaway leader Marcel Siem, the German who could also be travelling to the year’s first major if he wins.
