Lawrie’s great play let down by poor putting
Paul Lawrie ended his round just as the leaders were teeing off, with the Aberdeen player’s big disappointment continuing to be the shortest club in his bag despite a score of 71 for a four-over-par 292 Masters tally.
After a frustrating final round at Augusta National, Lawrie said: “I played lovely again today and missed nine putts inside 10ft and six putts inside 4ft.”
“I could not have played any better and putted any worse, unfortunately, but I am getting used to that.”
