Flagship hospital unfit for surgery, says report
Operations at NHS Highland’s flagship hospital are being carried out in 25-year-old theatres that fail to meet current fire and infection control standards, it has been revealed.
A Highland politician yesterday said the conditions described at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness were “unacceptable to patients” and improvements were “long overdue”.
And a patient representative said the health board should not use the theatres because of the risk to patients.
