‘Difficult’ survey will reveal if mountain is a Munro
A group of intrepid climbers are gearing up for what will probably be the most difficult mountain survey ever conducted in Britain.
The operation scheduled for next month is to discover if a Skye peak of jagged rock is in fact a Munro – a mountain over 3,000ft – and which of its two tops is the highest.
Knight’s Peak is positioned on the aptly named Pinnacle Ridge in the Cuillin Mountains of Skye among some of Britain’s most dramatic mountain scenery.
