I’ll pull my £50m out, warns Sir Ian over city garden’s lack of progress
A £50million pledge from the Wood Family Trust for the regeneration of Aberdeen will come off the table – unless council leaders support a “transformational" scheme by the end of the year.
Sir Ian Wood had kept the door open for the city’s Labour-led administration for one year after a decision to reject the controversial City Garden Project last August.
On the anniversary, Sir Ian has said he may still be willing back a proposal that will “truly impact" Aberdeen’s economic future, provided it is under serious consideration before 2014.
