Rural fuel stations told to state case for rebate
Rural petrol stations in the Highlands are being reminded that they could be eligible for the proposed extension to the rural fuel rebate scheme.
Highland Council has written to the more remote petrol filling station operators throughout the north who do not currently receive rural fuel rebate, to point out that they have until September 4 to respond to the HM Treasury’s “Call for Information” on the proposed extension of the rural fuel rebate scheme.
Councillor Drew Millar, Highland Council’s campaign lead on fuel prices, said: “The Highland Council’s programme is committed to working with partners to secure fair fuel prices across the area.
