Homes decision under review after bungle
Plans for a huge new housing development in Nairn will be reconsidered by Highland councillors after a bungle by planning staff.
Councillors granted permission to Scotia Homes, Barratt North East Scotland and Robertson Homes to build 232 houses and 87 flats at Cawdor Road last week but decided to re-examine the application after noticing a mistake in the planning report.
Comments made by Nairn Suburban Community Council lodging no objection had been mistakenly ascribed to Nairn River Community Council – which had formally objected to the plans.
