Super Pumas back in service
Super Puma helicopters were back in the sky yesterday – just a week after four people lost their lives in a crash off the coast of Shetland.
Despite some media reports, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said the decision to resume service was “appropriate” as it did not believe the accident had been caused by an airworthiness or technical problem.
Last night, operators confirmed that only non-passenger flights would take off today, but were not able to clarify when passenger transportation would resume.
