Meeting with rail bosses is next stop in city-centre plan
Talks between council bosses in Aberdeen and Network Rail chiefs to discuss new redevelopment proposals for the city centre are “imminent”, leader Barney Crockett said yesterday.
The revamp plans, drawn up by architect John Halliday, are largely based on relocating the main entrance to the train station to the corner of Union Street and Union Terrace.
Images revealed exclusively in the Press and Journal earlier this week have so far been broadly welcomed by politicians, campaigners and many members of the public.
