MP Sir Malcolm to quit ‘while I still enjoy job’
Sir Malcolm Bruce, the north-east’s longest-serving MP, has revealed that he plans to stand down at the next election.
The Liberal Democrat grandee has decided to quit frontline politics in 2015, after what will have been 32 years representing the people of Gordon.
Sir Malcolm, who will be 70 at the next UK general election, revealed his plans exclusively to the Press and Journal, saying he wanted to leave Westminster while he was still enjoying the job.
