‘Bike accelerated then I heard almighty bang’
A COURT has been told that a motorcycle was heard accelerating just before a fatal crash with a van on a Highland road.
Witness James Tait said he could not be sure how fast the bike was travelling – but estimated it was breaking the 60mph speed limit.
He was giving evidence at the trial of gas fitter Anthony Palmer, who denies causing the death of offshore worker Brent Larnach, 28, by driving carelessly on the A99 in Caithness.
