Cost fears as council decides on West Link
MEMBERS of Highland Council have backed the controversial “option six” for the long-awaited Inverness West Link Road.
The local authority will now start buying the land needed for the project – and compulsory purchase orders are expected to be published before the end of the month.
The £34.4million scheme involves a low-level crossing of the River Ness and a swing bridge over the Caledonian Canal.
