Rescuers dash to the aid of man who fell down cliff
A man was taken to hospital in Wick after plunging more than 50ft on to a Caithness beach.
Shetland Coastguard were alerted to the incident after a member of the public saw the man on the beach near Scorries Island, south of Wick, at around 7.30pm on Monday.
The town’s lifeboat was out on exercise at the time and was first on the scene, attending to the man as they waited for further assistance.
