‘It’ll be the end of the world if we don’t make drastic cuts’
An Aberdeen scientist has warned that society could collapse within the next 10 years unless the Earth’s resources are better protected.
Dr Alan Owen, of the Robert Gordon University’s Centre for Understanding Sustainable Practice, believes the world as we know it may fall apart because of our reliance and over consumption of energy, food and water.
The cause of this apocalyptic vision is, he says, the behaviour of the ordinary person and taking resources, which could run out, for granted.
