Scots face 5p charge for every shop carrier bag
Shoppers will be charged for plastic bags from October next year under plans to cut down on waste.
Draft regulations were laid before the Scottish Parliament yesterday which will lead to retailers charging a minimum of 5p per carrier bag.
However, a Highland MSP accused the SNP government of penalising shoppers faced with mounting bills.
