Faulty bulb grounded Puma
A Super Puma helicopter stuck overnight on a North Sea platform was prevented from flying due to a faulty bulb in a light, it emerged yesterday.
Operator CHC said an inspection carried out by engineers confirmed there was no problem with the “integrity” of the aircraft.
A group of about 15 workers had been due to travel to Aberdeen from the North Alwyn rig, 143 miles north of Shetland, on Thursday evening.
