Six Britons feared dead in Kenya mall attack
Up to six British nationals are believed to have been killed in the terror attack on a shopping mall in Kenya, Defence Secretary Philip Hammond said last night.
Mr Hammond spoke after leaving a meeting of the government’s emergency Cobra committee in the Cabinet Office, which was chaired by the prime minister.
The defence secretary said officials were awaiting final confirmation on the sixth casualty but told reporters it was currently thought six Britons had been killed in the attack and that figure could rise further. Earlier estimates had placed the British death toll at four.
