Historic Moray pier torn apart by storm

A HISTORIC Moray pier that survived one of the country’s worst floods 60 years ago has been destroyed by the latest storm.

The clean-up began in earnest yesterday in the wake of the ferocious storm that struck the region on Thursday.

And at Portgordon, the true force of nature was obvious from the damage high winds and sea surges caused to the pier.
