Capital splash for Renwick

Robbie Renwick, Craig Benson and Caitlin McClatchey – three of Scotland’s 2012 Olympians – will race in the Scottish Gas national short-course championships over the next three days at the Royal Commonwealth pool in Edinburgh.

The Scots have the chance to test their preparations for the Commonwealth Games trials, which are now less than four months away.

Aberdeen’s Renwick, who trains at the Commonwealth venue at Glasgow’s Tollcross Leisure Centre, intends to defend the 200metres Commonwealth freestyle title he won in New Delhi four years ago,
