In-form Pawlett can cap a great season

Ryan Jack reckons his Aberdeen team-mate Peter Pawlett will be pushing for a Scotland call-up if he keeps up his impressive form.

Pawlett netted a superb long-range strike in last weekend's 2-0 victory at St Johnstone and has played a pivotal part in helping the Dons to fourth place in the Scottish Premiership ahead of this afternoon's visit of St Mirren to Pittodrie.

The attacking midfielder's days at Pittodrie had looked numbered after he was sent out on loan to the Perth Saints last season but he has been given a second lease of life under new Dons manager Derek McInnes and last month signed a contract extension to keep him at the club until 2017.
