Dons’ revenge mission as Staggies look for a lift

Peter Pawlett's days at Pittodrie had looked numbered last season but the attacking midfielder has found a new lease of life under Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes.

The 22-year-old was sent on loan to St Johnstone last term when the emergence of Ryan Fraser meant his own first-team opportunities became limited.

However, Fraser's departure to Bournemouth saw Pawlett recalled by the Dons and the former Scotland under-21 international has flourished since McInnes replaced Craig Brown towards the end of last season.
