Mommsen is Scotland big doubt for vital World Cup opener
Preston Mommsen faces a race to be ready for Scotland's World Cup qualifying opener against Hong Kong in New Zealand next Monday.
The Carlton batsman has not featured in either of the team's warm-up games so far as he continues to recuperate after pelvic surgery.
He travelled to New Zealand before the rest of the squad in a bid to acce- lerate his recovery. But Mommsen has still not played since the end of the last domestic season.
