Canteen ban was pasta joke, but no humble pie for a relieved McInally

The row over referee John McKendrick’s dinner which resulted in a four-game touchline ban for Peterhead manager Jim McInally is finally over after a SFA appeal panel halved the punishment and refunded the League 2 leaders their appeal fee.

A SFA appeal panel met on Tuesday at Hampden but ran out of time to make a decision after a more than two-hour session as McInally pleaded his case after opting not to attend the initial disciplinary tribunal.
