Tragedy dad hailed as top paramedic

A MERCY man who died after being swept into the sea by a huge wave was described last night as an “exemplary paramedic” by shocked colleagues.

Peter Trudgill was pulled from the North Sea after being in the icy water for more than half an hour.

He died later in Aberdeen Royal infirmary.
