Don’s dream debut day
Aberdeen forward Adam Rooney was delighted to mark his return to Scottish football with a debut goal in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Motherwell.
Rooney cancelled out Motherwell defender Stephen McManus’s opener in the 67th minute before Zaine Francis-Angol stabbed home the ball from close range to restore Well’s advantage two minutes later.
Captain Russell Anderson secured a deserved point for the visitors in added time, despite Motherwell’s appeals that the Dons captain had used a hand to turn the ball over the line.
