Inverness braced for League Cup culture shock
Caley Jags manager John Hughes believes making it to the League Cup final can influence football culture in Inverness and bring the club more supporters.
Caley Thistle celebrate their 20th year in existence this summer and Hughes believes getting to the final of a major competition will be a fitting way to celebrate. According to Hughes, it is not about exacting retribution for last season’s last-four exit at the hands of tomorrow’s semi-final opponents Hearts, but marking a milestone in the Highland club’s short history.
Hughes said: “There is a desire and determination to take the club into a cup final. The players have never spoken to me about what happened last year in the semi-final. They just get on with it.
