Cat and the Canary Islands: Juanita the mystery moggie
The search is on for the owner of a cat found in Aberdeenshire, almost 3,000 miles from its registered home in the Canary Islands.
Veterinary staff were left perplexed when the feline’s identity chip was matched to an address in the Spanish island town of Fuerteventura after she was discovered in a garage in Muchalls, five miles north of Stonehaven.
The Iberian tabby, nicknamed Juanita, was discovered by Rosy Long, 66, when she was putting her car away after a trip with her husband William.
