Dons hot for dream double

Barry Robson is determined to prove he is worth a new deal at Aberdeen after helping the Dons dump Scottish Cup holders Celtic out of the competition.

The Dons followed up the previous week’s 4-0 League Cup semi-final victory against St Johnstone by beating Celtic at Parkhead to leave their supporters dreaming of a cup double.

Ten consecutive defeats at Celtic Park had looked set to become 11 when Anthony Stokes gave the hosts an early lead but Dons captain Russell Anderson restored parity just before the break and Peter Pawlett netted the winner five minutes after the restart to cap an excellent team performance.
